But the rent, the electricity, three installments and the card bill are already spoken for in that money.
You know this one
Your bank balance doesn't tell the whole story.
The month's purchases kept landing on the card, one at a time, and nothing ever showed the total.
It isn't a lack of self-control. It's math nobody wants to do by hand, every day.
The math that was missing
Bolgo does this math for you. Every day.
It starts from what you have, takes out what's already spoken for until the day before payday, and shows what's left, line by line. No formulas, no guessing, no spreadsheet.
The balance and what's left
Your bank balance is real. It just isn't all yours.
It still matches your statement, on purpose. But the rent on the 10th and the card bill on the 24th already come out of it.
What's left after everything already spoken for. The card limit stays out, because it was never yours.
Features
Everything that moves your month, in the right place.
The card bill, before it arrives.
Each purchase goes on the right bill, with your card's closing and due dates. You know how much it will be well before it's due.
The tightest day of the month, with a date.
The whole month on one timeline, with the day your money runs shortest marked. There's time to adjust before it comes.
Ends with $8,740.50. The lowest point is $3,240.50, on the 24th.
Months of statements, all at once.
Bring your bank's files, OFX, QIF, CSV or PDF. Bolgo sorts them by account, finds what repeats and shows you everything before saving.
12 lines were already in Bolgo and were left out.
Bring it all inThree taps. Done.
The amount, the category it guesses from the name, save. By the time the sheet slides down, the number up top has already changed.
Credit was never yours.
Your card limit is how much the bank will still lend you. In Bolgo, it never goes into the math. A purchase comes out of your month on the day you buy, and the bill counts only once.
Do the math
Do the math on your month now.
Three numbers and you see what Bolgo shows every day, without opening a spreadsheet. Nothing you type here leaves this page.
For any income
Don't know how much is coming in? You don't need to.
Bolgo only asks for the date of your next income. The amount stays out of the math, so it works for a paycheck, freelance work or an app payout. If you get paid every week, the math runs to the end of the month.
The method
Four rules. One sentence.
Mark when it comes in, count until then, take out what's spoken for, spend what's left.
- 1Mark the date, not the amount
Get paid around the 25th? That's enough. Bolgo uses the date of your next income, never the amount. If your income varies, you don't have to get any number right.
- 2Count until your next income
Your month runs from one paycheck to the day before the next. Today is the 8th and payday is the 25th: that's 17 days, and those are the days the math works with.
- 3Take out what's spoken for
Rent, utilities, installments and the card bill come out first, each on its own day. The card limit stays out, because it's what the bank lends you, not your money.
- 4Spend what's left
What's left is truly free: $3,240.50, or $190 a day. Spend something, and the number changes right away. Made a mistake? Undo it.

The name
Bolg means bag.
In Old Irish, bolg was a bag. It became bulga in Late Latin, bouget in 15th-century English, and from there came budget. Bolgo is the bag with the math done.

Frequently asked questions
When does Bolgo open?
First on iPhone, and there's no date yet. Everyone on the list gets an e-mail on the day it opens.
Do I need to connect my bank?
No. You log your spending or bring your bank statement file. Bolgo never asks for your bank password.
What if I don't get paid on the same day, or the same amount?
Bolgo counts until the next income you mark, whether it's a paycheck, freelance work or an app payout, and its amount never goes into the math. If you get paid every week or every day, it counts until the end of the month.
Does it work in my country?
Yes. Bolgo speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish and uses your country's currency and format.
How much does it cost?
There's a free plan, with no time limit. Bolgo Premium has its price in the store, in your currency, and you can try it free before subscribing.
What do you do with my e-mail?
We keep only the e-mail and the language, for the opening notice. No ads from other companies, and you can leave the list whenever you want.
